more or less :: explanations for certain observations
Yet another Omaha blog dealing with less Omaha and more of a world-wide perspective.

I can be obnoxious.
I write about all kinds of things but mostly politics and economics.

I live with my dog Samantha (Sam), a 6 year old Scottish Terrier.
I like aluminum neck guitars. I own a Vaccaro Generator X (original American version) that is bright orange and sparkled with a white pearlized pick guard.
I’ve been playing the drums for over a year. I’m not very good but I own a Yamaha DTS electronic drum kit and a ludwig Accent CS Elite acoustic set.
I still buy CDs and recently started buying a buch of vinyl. I prefer higher audio quality over portability.
I believe Steve Albini and Bob Weston are two of the best recording engineers on the face of the planet.
I have multiple tattoos. A dragon on my back (my first), a dragon on the outside of my ankle I got in the Philippines, a Liberty Bell I had done when I visited my friend Summer (go Philly roller girls!), and I have a fairly unique, colored skull and bones on my shin I had done in Chicago.
I lived in Texas for a year - hated it.
I’ve lived in Omaha for the rest of the time.
I hate Omaha. It’s a cool city with some things to do, but not much of a city for me.
I’m an atheist
My favorite show on TV in “The Wire”. I also watch Big Love, Weeds, Dexter. I also watch the Discovery Science channel religiously.
Of course my opinion here does not reflect the opinions or idea or thoughts of my employer.
I’m a critic and sometimes skeptic. I hold reason over emotion although I’m emotional about my own reasoning.
I smoke.
I use Macs, PCs and Linux boxes at home and work. I prefer Macs for their interface and “everything (almost)” works capabilities. I prefer Linux for a general operating system (Ubuntu). I use Windows because I have to under certain circumstances (Work).
I do lightweight web programming (PHP).
I hate programming.
I’m a conceptual person and deal well with ideas.
I think cursing is an art.
I believe the American political landscape is missing the voice and value of dissent.
I’m done for now.
