more or less :: explanations for certain observations

So. Law school. Yeah. Given the current state of the economy and the growing, gloomy job prospects at the end of the ranbow, law school is on hold. I was planning on using most of my invested savings to help carry me through three years of school – the first year being the most significant with the general lack of any income source due to ABA demands. Now that I’m down 40%, it pretty much sucked the wind out of the sail.
But I sail on. I have something else in the works that I’m not quite at liberty to divulge just yet – and in the event that I say anything about what I will be doing implies that this blog would go silent due to regulatory demands. For example, the regulatory body I’m speaking of treats blogs as advertisements is anything within the industry is discussed. You can’t recommend certain things because, well it may not be suitable for everyone and you can be held liable. It is almost as if you have to cut off your arm before going through a hand-shake line. You can’t say what you think and there are piles of lawyers eager to get involved at every turn.
The licensing process is even more asinine. For what it is worth, the Series 7 is nothing more than a broad test on general knowledge. In most cases, it will test you on knowledge that you will rarely use.
Such is the nature of the beast I guess.
