I’ll start by noting that I’m a fan of both. Paul represents a principled, roots-radical position in the political fabric of this year’s campaign. You can’t *not* (double neg, I know) like the guy even if you disagree with him. If the Republican party were more like him, I would be registered as a Republican.
The reality is that Paul is going to come out of this election serving us two purposes - presenting the true voice of moderation and classic politics that many Americans see to be the standard of the American political process as well as teaching us a lesson in perseverance.
The reality check comes with the realization that Ron Paul’s chances of hitting election success with a victory lap around the Oval Office are very slim. Just as the chance of seeing my beloved Chicago Cubs in a World Series is equally slim. If there is one thing Cubs fans know, it is perseverance. We wake up every day, put on our clothes like we do every other day. In the back of our minds we have a little bit of a glimmer that, no matter how grim the circumstances, gives us just a little bit of hope that this year will be our year; this year, we’re going to take it all. And even when we know the season is coming to a premature close, we tilt our hats lower over our eyes, put our heads down a bit and mutter the infamous words every Cubs fan knows, “there’s always next year”.
While the presidential process rolls around every four years, libertarians of all stripes are happy to see something, anything, that will reinforce that little bit of shine in the back of our minds. When the reality of loss presents itself, we will tuck our heads down and continue on about our day in hopes that maybe, one day, our team will win.
So if not today, then maybe tomorrow. And if not tomorrow than there is always next year (or four).

“JCreator is written entirely in C++, which makes it fast and efficient compared to the Java based editors/IDE’s.”
Oh the irony.
